Last year I began my quest to find the perfect box clutch. A year on I still haven’t made the purchase…why? There is too much choice, I just can’t make a decision! Some of them are too pretty, I would want to put them on a shelve and admire them from afar. Why take them out to party, imagine they got damaged or their looks would fade!?
I also own too many different outfits in a variety of colors and prints and have the tendency to buy one clutch for every look. Saying that out loud makes my wallet look up at me with crippling fear. Some of you might recognize this dilemma. And this is why I am still box clutch-less…
During my search I stumbled upon a Dubai based brand called Nomada. It is a luxury accessories brand founded by Sana Shakoor and Divya Rashul in 2014 in Mumbai, India. They draw inspiration for their designs from travelling and the enriching experience of visiting places and engaging in different cultures. Hence the name ‘Nomada’ which is a derivation of the word ‘Nomad’; a person who cannot remain in one place for long. They appeal to an international audience by creating versatile pieces. Each piece or collection includes elements inspired by cultures, landmarks, traditions and folklore elements. Traditional Indian embroidery techniques are used to make the accessories. The bag elements consist of a mix of fabrics, beads, crystals and threadwork.
What I love about their collections is that they each have a different theme like The Jungle Diaries, Turkish Tales and The Maharani. There is something for everyone! For the gypsy, hippy chic girls in need of a clutch to take to a summer festival, or a girl attending a traditional (Indian) wedding or a single lady out on the town, looking for a touch of glamour. In the gallery you will find my personal favorites. The camouflage box and iznik box are my top choices, although I also adore the maharani for its regal look.
Let me know which clutch is your favorite!
