Oriental Style: Winter/Festive

The festive months of the year are coming up! Which means it is the perfect time to splurge on evening wear. Whether it is an outfit for a romantic date with your partner, an office Christmas party, family festivities or a night out with the girls, it is that time of year to opt for a little extra glamour. Although it is still a little early to know exactly what you’ll be wearing during the upcoming holidays there is no harm in looking for some extra inspiration. Which is why I browsed the Stylight database for a few festive items with a touch of orient.

1. TFNC dress

Nothing beats a little black dress with a touch of gold. The thing I love most about this dress is the skirt. The embroidery reminds me a lot of Indian embroidery or the embroidery used to decorate Arabic Abayas. Team it up with high heels, a statement clutch and some jewellery and your good to go. Combine it with a blazer for a more formal look.

These funky pants from Alysi are a lot like traditional Indian style pants. This item is for the daring amongst us who like to stand out. It has a bold print and interesting fit. You can tone this look down by combining it with a plain top and go easy on the accessories. I would wear this item with a black blazer and a pair of heels.

I’m a fan of TFNC’s collection of dresses. Little black dresses decorated with a touch of sparkle, whether it’s beading, embroidery or sequins they always look good.

6. Dolce & Gabbana leather bag

For some of us a clutch just isn’t big enough to carry all of our stuff in, but you don’t want to walk around all night holding your oversized handbag. Go for a mini sized bag, it can carry more stuff than a clutch and looks super cute!
