According to several fashion magazines including Vogue, the color pink is a major trend color this Fall/Winter. From soft and pale pink to bright candy pink, this color frequently appeared on the international F/W 2014-15 runways. This color is often associated with softness, romance and femininity. Most women have been ‘confronted‘ with the color pink since birth, from baby pink rompers to Barbie pink. Just like many women, I wanted to become a princess when I was little and wear pink gowns on a daily basis (think Jennifer Lopez’s soft pink, strapless gown in the film ‘Maid in Manhattan’). Btw. I always wondered why Walt Disney’s ‘Cinderella’ wore blue to the ball and not pink, maybe to break the common stereotypes?
Today my color palette includes more than just pink, although I still adore pink when it comes to lipsticks or dresses. I often prefer a darker shade, like fuchsia pink. Lately I have been fantasizing about my future wedding dress, which is what most women do (I hope…) when they are in love. The moment I saw THIS gown by designer Anju Modi, I was certain about the color of my future wedding dress; pale pink! Knowing myself, this might change, but until then…
Today I want to share with you some of my favorite pink runway looks and a few of my favorite pink items. Let me know which one you like best!
