My Chanel make-up addiction started at a young age. Although I was not allowed to wear make-up until I was around 16 years old, I spent a lot of time admiring my mother’s Chanel make-up collection. When I was 17 years old I followed her example, buying my first Chanel lipstick. I was hooked, whenever I got a new paycheck I gifted myself a new Chanel lipstick or eye shadow palette. I soon started to collect the Les 4 Ombres eye shadow palettes, running out to the store whenever the new seasonal collections came out. I am surprised the shop ladies don’t know my name yet, I was there nearly every week, scanning and searching their make-up stock for a new buy.
At the age of 12 I experienced allergic reactions to several makeup brands, I react badly to glitters and waterproof mascara for example. This is why I religiously stick to high end brands. Yes, it costs a lot of money, but you pay for the quality of the product. I now have a few make-up brands that I can wear without experiencing any allergic reactions, I use Chanel, Lancôme, Clinique, Dior, MAC and Estée Lauder.
This is our first beauty post on this blog, which is why I kept it simple. I did not stick an expensive Nikon camera in my face to make these pictures, nor did I spent hours on Photoshop to make it all look perfect. I hope you guys like the simplicity of the pictures!
