I wouldn’t recommend a skin product if I did not believe in it. My skin is rather difficult when it comes to beauty products, with a history of (eye) make-up allergies I am extremely careful with what I apply to my face. As much as I love make-up and have a large collection of different high end brands, I have decided to wear less make-up on a day to day basis (special occassions aside). I respect Alicia Keys with her #nomakeup statement, or Shakira who feels she looks better with less make-up. I personally think I look better with less make-up and my skin agrees.
One message I would like to add as I realise I am talking about beauty and skin is ‘love the skin you’re in’. I adore L’Oréal’s latest foundation campaign celebrating cultural diversity. Too many times I meet people from Asian descent who are of opinion that lighter skin is more beautiful than darker skin. It saddens me. Beauty comes in all shapes, sizes and colors!
Skin care
My search for the perfect day cream ended when I discovered L’Oréal Paris Skin Perfection. A cream that dries up quickly, does not feel sticky and works its magic, all for an affordable price. Whenever I have a little bit more money to splurdge I go for Clinique’s dramatically different moisturizing lotion, which is part of their 3 step program.
My skin is a little dry in the autumn-winter season and more oily in the spring-summer and if I apply the wrong cream my face looks like a shiny, oily mess. I often try new creams to see if I can find new additions to my list of favorite products. Last year I tried a product by Biotherm (aquasource) similar to the product I want to present to you today, but it wasn’t the right suit for me (the scent was overwhelming + cream too moist/did not absorb quickly).
This summer I tried Clinique’s Moisture Surge – Extended thirst relief. I must say I didn’t expect it being this good! The shiny, moist cream absorbs as soon as you are done massaging it into your skin. Your skin feels soft and looks radiant. they do not lie when they say that it’s a fast-absorbing formula! It also feels good when applying it onto the skin, cooling, not sticky or oily. It has little to no scent, which is perfect.
