PFDC L’Oréal Paris Bridal Week 2014 (PLBW), one of my favorite fashion weeks, took place from the 30th of September until the 2nd of October 2014. PLBW is a real treat for fashion enthusiasts, as it shows the best bridal designs by noted Pakistani designers. Today I share with you, 10 of my favorite bridal looks from PLBW 2014. The bridal looks that hit the runway last week during PLBW 2014 really impressed me and showed us that Pakistani designers are real craftsmen (and women) who aren’t afraid to think outside the box. They take risks, dare to use vibrant colors and are extremely innovative when it comes to embroidery and mixing contemporary with traditional styles.

Three designers really blew me away last week with their amazing collections. Ali Xeeshan was inspired by the Ancient Roman civilization, warriors and the idea of defiance. The design of Ali Xeeshan which I chose to feature in the gallery is orientalism at its best! Another favorite is Nomi Ansari, who I have featured twice in the gallery. Her use of color is creative and the combination of modern and traditional style is praise worthy. Fahad Hussayn is another on my toplist. His designs are more edgy and artistic. The headpieces are little works of art and the intricate embroidery details are stunning! Fahad is a true artist.
Other favorite PLBW 2014 designs are by Sania Maskatiya, Sana Safinaz, Sofia Badar, Nida Azwer, Ammara Khan and Asifa & Nabeel. The last three designers showcased white/silver bridal looks that resemble the classic ‘white bridal gown’ but include beautiful cultural influences. These looks are perfect for a culturally hybrid bride!
