Hussein Bazaza recently released his resort 2015 collection, which includes 20 artistic fashion looks. Bazaza was inspired by everything hidden under the ice, from deep blue water to sparkling ice crystals. The color palette shows different shades of blue, snowy whites, grey, black and silver. This collection also includes fabrics with floral prints. Hussein’s collection exists of dresses and skirts in different lengths from floor length to shorter looks. My wardrobe must haves are long skirts, from just below the knee to floor length, I love this modest and classy look. Which is why I feel very attracted to this collection. The use of fabric is also very diverse, sheer and lace fabrics combined with shiny silks. The designs are embellished with beads and sequins, stunning details that require a closer look. Bazaza plays with different silhouettes but maintains the ‘curvaceous’ female form with most of his designs…embracing the waist and upper body tightly while letting the skirts and bottoms flow, with great volume. There is a contrast between romantic and delicate and cold and strong going on, which shows the designer’s creativity and craftsmanship. My favorites from this collection are the two iciest looks from Bazaza’s collection. Call me an ice queen, but I couldn’t help but fall in love with these designs. Bazaza recreated Antarctic landscapes by using sequins and pearl beads in different shades of icy blue and white to decorate a short skirt with high-waist. The top part softens this icy look…it is made from delicate, white lace. The sheer, lace fabric of the blouse, with floral detail adds romance to this look. I love this design, it is playful and young and the embellishments are stunning! Hussein used similar decorations for another of his designs, a beautiful off the shoulder dress. The designer has created an ombre effect using sequins and pearl beads in shades of blue and white, one shade flowing into the other. This short, off the shoulder number is perfect for a formal night out!
