Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week has come to an end after five days of non stop Indian fashion design. Designers have shown us their autumn-winter 2013 collections. Giving us insight into their creative minds by sharing the hip and happening trends of 2013. Internationally known fashion designer Manish Arora closed the event with an impressive grand finale last night. Known as the ‘John Galliano of India’, Manish Arora showed us several eccentric designs in the first half of his show, combining psychedelic prints and daring colors. The second half presented us with navy blue and black pieces encrusted with colorful chrystals and gems. He also showcased his Amrapali jewellery designs as shown in the pictures below.
Designer Vineet Bahl kept his designs very traditional, stunning us with beautiful gowns, monochromes and intricate embroidery. Manish Malhotra gave us a splash of color, combining sheer fabrics with phulkari embroidery and giving the ladies a treat by dressing the handsome Bollywood actor Sidharth Malhotra in a black Sherwani suit.
I have selected a few top picks from other designers that I would love to wear myself and I am sure you would want to add to your wardrobe. From left to right; designs by Joy Mitra, Pankaj & Nidhi, Siddartha Tytler, Shivan & Narresh, Ranna Gill and Paras & Shalini.
